Question:  I have never been to massage therapy before but my doctor suggested I go due to my pinched neck.  What can I expect?
Answer:  Your first session will include a client questionnaire, where you will have the chance to fully explain your situation, aches, and pains.  From there, certain manual tests may be done to further identify which muscles are involved in the muscle constriction and/or pain you are experiencing. Because each person is different, as are their ailments, each massage is designed specific to their needs.  We will have a discussion surrounding what kind of massage you may benefit from most.

Question:  Will I have to get naked?
Answer: Absolutely not.  It is completely up to you.  Some clients prefer to be nude under the blankets, but that is by choice only.  If you prefer to wear under garments, that is perfectly fine.

Question: What level of privacy do I have during the session?
Answer: I will leave the room while you are undressing and will return only when you are laying between sheets on the bed.  Modesty is a must and I will undrap only the area I am massaging, redraping when done.  There will be no other persons in the room during your massage.  I will then leave the room while you redress.

Question:  I am female/male , is it better to see a man or a woman massage therapist?
Answer: Its completely up to you!  You decide who you are more comfortable with.  I can tell you that both male and female massage therapists are able to work on either a man or a woman.

Question: I get headaches a lot and someone suggested massage therapy, does it really help?
Answer: Results vary and depend greatly on what type of headache/migraine a person suffers from.  A large portion of my clientele comes for migraine relief and for them, massage helps to reduce the stress and postural problems (or holding patterns)  that exacerbate muscular tension, which has helped in decreasing the frequency of some sufferer's migraines.

Question:  How often should I get a massage to reep the maximum benefits?
Answer: That is also something that varies with every person!  I tell people, "Your body will tell you when you need to see me again!"  For some, the effects of massage, specifically in the beginning, may not last more than a few days; for others, they schedule themselves on a biweekly or monthly basis and feel the benefits fully for the duration of that time.

Question:  I work during the day.  Do you have evening appointments?
Answer: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturdays are open for appointments.

Question:  Do you accept insurance?
Answer: Insurance is not excepted; however, you can check with your insurance provider and may be reimbursed for massages you have paid for.

Question:  What form of payment do you accept?
Answer:  We accept cash, check, and credit card (Discover, Visa, and Mastercard).
